Barcelona-Day 2
Today was tattoo day. A few years ago J had seen a display of photos of tattoos by Tania Vaiana at the Tower Hill Botanic Garden. She was entranced Tania’s work and said if she ever got a tattoo, it would be in that style. When I made reservations for Barcelona and discovered that Tania had a studio in Barcelona, it seemed like fate. J commissioned a piece based on some lupines and other plants she had seen in Ecuador. After getting the ink done, we checked out the Picasso Museum and the History Museum where you can view the old Roman city beneath Barcelona. Then we wandered the Barri Gothic, streets intersecting streets intersecting alleys, getting lost then found and then lost again. And we both noticed that 100% of this city sees to be impervious-roads, sidewalks and buildings. Can’t wait to see what happens when it rains around here.
